Devore continued....

I've been experimenting with more swatches of devore, using both plant and animal dyes as well as procion dyes (which dye both plant pile and the silk backing).

Some samples I've started to stitch into, putting something behind the fabric to stabilise it. The top two samples show this. The one with little squares is on devore satin which also gives a beautiful effect. The colour of that sample is actually a little greener in reality.
